The accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the Group Finance Manager in reporting and compliance requirements. The role involves handling the full spectrum of accounting tasks, including month-end closings, reconciliations, tax reporting, and financial analysis. Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA is essential. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Fixed Assets. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end and year-end closings. Assist in preparing accurate and timely financial statements and management reports. Ensure compliance with IFRS/local GAAP, statutory, and company policies. Support tax matters, including GST/VAT reporting and liaison with tax agents. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring. Maintain organized financial records and ensure adherence to internal controls. Use SAP S/4HANA for transaction postings, reconciliations, and reporting. Contribute as part of the ERP implementation team for SAP HANA, providing local accounting expertise and ensuring statutory and tax compliance. Support process mapping, data migration, and UAT to ensure accurate reporting and smooth system adoption. Liaise with auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation. Work closely with the Finance Manager and team to improve processes and efficiencies Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline. 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment. Sound knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/local GAAP). Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA is required. Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial tools. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good problem‑solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Robust integrity, accountability, and organizational skills. Accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset.
