Structural Engineer – Concrete Systems (Saint John)

Responsibilities Assist in the design of precast/prestressed concrete elements under the guidance of senior engineers. Support preparation of design drawings and basic calculations for precast components. Work with architects, contractors, and other team members to help ensure design requirements are met. Learn to conduct structural analysis and apply relevant codes and standards with supervision. Provide technical support during different phases of the project lifecycle. Attend project meetings to observe and contribute ideas to design discussions. Develop an understanding of precast concrete design principles and construction practices. Participate in ongoing training and stay informed about standard codes and practices. Technical Requirements Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field Experience in precast concrete design considered an asset Interest in learning structural analysis tools such as ETabs Professional licensure is a requirement Business Requirements Ability to prioritize tasks and support multiple projects with guidance Strong organizational skills and eagerness to meet deadlines Cultural Requirements Transparent communication skills, both written and verbal Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative team environment Openness to feedback, critical thinking, and developing effective time management As a member of the OSCO Construction Group, Strescon offers a comprehensive compensation package including health and dental coverage, life insurance, RRSP and tax-free savings account options.
