Opportunity The Middleware Database Administrator will work in a dynamic setting with multiple teams. The role involves installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining the Fusion Middleware stack, including Oracle Identity Governance, Oracle Access Management, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and E‑Business Suite. This role can be performed from any major Stantec office location, with the prospect to work mainly remote. Key Responsibilities - Installation, configuration, and tuning of Fusion Middleware and WebLogic environments, including upgrades of the Fusion infrastructure. - Problem management: identification, management, and resolution of issues. - Conduct migrations by transferring code across test, QA, and production environments. - Configuration of Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) and Single Sign On (SSO) for Fusion middleware and products such as Oracle Analytics Server, E‑Business Suite, and Grid. - Tuning of Fusion middleware products (Grid, OID, OAM/SSO, OIM, EBS); develop standards, tuning metrics, and alert thresholds. - Review proposed changes and test them in test and QA environments. - Develop Fusion middleware documentation describing current configuration. - Develop best‑practice guides. - Understand high‑availability architecture and disaster‑recovery concepts and setup. - Manage database backup and recovery. Capabilities and Credentials - 5–10 years of recent experience with Oracle Identity Management/Governance (OAM, OIM), Oracle Identity Self Service, Oracle Internet Directory, Oracle Cloud Control, and related Java technologies (JDeveloper, J2EE, Apache). - Minimum 5 years of Oracle Database Administrator support experience. - Experience installing WebLogic/Fusion 11g, 12c, and 14c. - Proficiency in WLST scripting. - Knowledge of 11g, 12c, 14c configurations. - Experience configuring WebLogic behind a web server (Apache, IIS, Tomcat). - Knowledge of EMCC 24AI, 13.x on WebLogic 12c and 14c. - Functional knowledge of UNIX shell scripting. - Prefer combined experience as Database Administrator. - Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Education and Experience - Minimum 5–10 years of specialized experience. - Related diploma or degree, or equivalent combination of experience. Pay Range - Locations Outside of Lower Mainland, BC & other locations in Ontario: $89,200.00 – $129,300.00 annually. - Locations in Lower Mainland, BC, GTA & Ottawa, Ontario: $94,600.00 – $137,100.00 annually.
