Carpenter – Job Opportunity We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team in Saint John. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction, with a strong focus on quality craftsmanship, precision, and safety. Key Responsibilities - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings - Perform a variety of carpentry and general construction tasks, including, but not limited to: - Caulking and sealing - Restoration and repair work - Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood, wood substitutes, and other materials - Repair or replace damaged structural components, framing, or finish work - Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety standards, and project specifications - Work collaboratively with other trades and team members to complete projects on time and to high standards Qualifications and Requirements - Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar construction role - Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as construction equipment - Robust understanding of carpentry techniques, materials, and industry best practices - Ability to accurately read and interpret technical documents and blueprints - High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills - Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions - Strong organizational and time management skills - Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship or relevant certification is preferred - Valid driver's License - Must have several years of experience with framing, siding, window & door installation. - Must have own vehicle - Must be willing to work Monday to Friday 8am-430pm - Must be willing to work exterior in the winter What We Offer - A dynamic and team-oriented work environment - Competitive compensation based on experience - Opportunities for skill development and career advancement - Projects that value craftsmanship and attention to detail If you're a motivated and skilled Carpenter looking to take the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply and become a valued part of our team.
