If this interests you, Southwest Regional Credit Union is looking for a motivated professional to contribute to our growing Commercial/Agricultural Department. Job Summary: The Business Services Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining a portfolio of commercial and agriculture business accounts. The incumbent delivers a broad range of commercial and agriculture services and initiates and/or participates in business development activities to grow the portfolio through consolidation and retention of existing business and by obtaining new business from potential members. The Business Services Account Manager ensures the completion of reviews on portfolio accounts including property site visits as required. The Business Services Account Manager understands their role as brand ambassador and provides a positive brand experience to all members and industry partners. Duties and Responsibilities: Relationship Management & Business Development - Build and maintain strong relationships with existing commercial and agricultural members - Proactively identify opportunities to deepen member relationships through lending and non-credit products - Actively network within the community, including attending industry events and building referral sources - Generate new business opportunities through prospecting and relationship development - Partner with Branch Managers and internal teams to identify and pursue current business opportunities - Contribute to the ongoing monitoring and management of the commercial and agricultural loan portfolio through review of delinquency, past due, out‑of‑order, and watchlist reports - Maintain qualified and effective working relationships with internal and external auditors to support the successful completion of all audit requirements - In this role the Business Services Account Manager will meet with members and perspective new members at our other branches, or their place of business Credit Structuring & Adjudication - Analyze financial statements and assess creditworthiness of commercial/agricultural members - Structure and recommend credit solutions aligned with member needs and Credit Union risk appetite - Prepare comprehensive credit applications, including write-ups, risk assessments, and recommended terms - Conduct annual and ongoing credit reviews, including margining where required - Identify higher-risk accounts and support proactive monitoring and action plans to remediate Portfolio Management & Compliance - Maintain a high-quality commercial and agricultural loan portfolio in accordance with policies and risk guidelines - Ensure all documentation and files are complete and compliant with internal and regulatory requirements - Monitor portfolio performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support reporting and operational effectiveness Qualifications - 3–7+ years of experience in commercial and/or agricultural lending or a related financial services role - Proven ability to build and manage member relationships, with a demonstrated track record in business development - Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and well-structured credit applications and reports - Solid interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to represent the Credit Union in the community - Results-oriented, with the ability to balance sales growth and sound risk management - Committed to continuous personal improvement - Strong knowledge of commercial and agricultural credit principles, including financial statement analysis and risk assessment - Familiarity with Credit Union products and services is considered an asset - Post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience) - Ability to leverage technology to enhance productivity - Must have a valid driver's license Job Type: Full-time Pay: $56,000.00-$68,000.00 per year Benefits: - Company events - Dental care - Disability insurance - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - Vision care Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2na1fo
