This posting supports branches along the Sarnia‑Chatham‑Windsor corridor. Provides exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects, identifies customer needs, and offers advice on financial solutions in the customers’ best interests. Works collaboratively within the branch and with BMO partners to deliver a customer experience that achieves business objectives. Responsibilities - Collaborate with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities that grow the customer’s relationship beyond personal banking. - Welcome and guide customers as they enter the branch lobby, offering advice on digital and self‑serve options to make banking easy, simple, and fast. - Act as a lobby leader, conducting client conversations about banking services to recommend alternative channels and provide personal banking and investment advice. - Meet customer transaction‑based needs with seamless execution. - Review customer profiles and engage customers in needs‑based conversations to identify opportunities and address everyday banking and credit card needs. - Contribute to meeting branch business results and enhancing the customer experience. - Support operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, follow‑up on customer applications, filing, opening, and closing activities. - Act as a key member of a collaborative and versatile branch and market team. - Probe to understand customer personal banking and credit card needs and integrate marketing promotions and programs into conversations to provide strategic advice. - Organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Take the initiative to find creative approaches that personalize each customer’s experience. - Seek ways to improve the overall customer experience. - Contribute to business results and the overall experience delivered. - Work at multiple branches or through various channels based on market needs; schedule may vary week to week. - Follow through on risk and compliance processes and policies to safeguard customers’ assets, maintain privacy, and act in their best interest. - Keep current with the financial services marketplace, legal and regulatory environment, and uphold high ethical standards. - Maintain knowledge of personal banking products, practices, and trends, integrating this into conversations. - Identify and report suspicious activity related to money laundering. - Comply with legal and regulatory requirements for the jurisdiction. - Protect the bank’s assets in compliance with all regulatory, legal and ethical requirements. - Complete complex and diverse tasks within given rules and limits. - Analyze issues and determine next steps; escalating as required. - Take measured risks while protecting the bank by applying the Risk Management Framework in line with risk culture and appetite, making sound, risk‑informed decisions that align with business strategy. Qualifications - Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience and/or certification in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Canada only: Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress (must be completed within 12 months) – as appropriate for the jurisdiction. - Confidence and experience with social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications. - Some experience in consultative customer service or sales roles, with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience. - Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions to refer to specialists. - Passionate commitment to helping customers. - Drive to deliver a personal customer experience. - Focus on results and ability to thrive in a consultative sales and team‑based environment. - Resourceful self‑starter with courage and confidence to approach customers. - Readiness to collaborate and work in different capacities as part of a team. - Robust interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and connections with customers. - Aptitude for listening, solving problems, and responding flexibly and creatively to new challenges. - Basic specialized knowledge. - Verbal and written communication skills – Good. - Organization skills – Good. - Collaboration and team skills – Good. - Analytical and problem‑solving skills – Good. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $34,750.00 – $51,800.00, Salaried position. The salary is adjusted for location, experience, and qualifications and may include a commission structure. The total compensation package may include performance‑based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks.
