Security Guard (Sarnia)

Hughes Intelligence was established in 1994 and is located in Sarnia, Ontario. We are currently recruiting Security Guards to join our growing team providing security services in a variety of different settings ranging from healthcare institutions to retail and industrial locations. We currently have 2 PART-TIME vacancies to fill. We are currently hiring for security guards who are interested in working both within Long-term Care homes with residents as well as traditional security work. Security Guard responsibilities: - Protecting people, assets & property at client locations - Assist with High Intensity Needs Residents in Long Term Care settings on a 1:1 basis - Monitoring access points using surveillance & alarm systems - Conducting preventive surveillance - Providing impeccable customer service - Preventing fire, theft & vandalism through vigilance - Verifying & inspecting all safety equipment - Enforcing client property regulations - Writing reports - Assist with screening measures such as asking specific screening questions and other measures that may be implemented Security Guard requirements: - Valid Standard First Aid & CPR certification (Must be from a Red Cross trained organization) - Must pass a Vulnerable Police Check (VPC) (REQUIRED) - A Recent 2-Step TB test or equivalent within the past 6 months - Valid Driver's License (REQUIRED) - Own vehicle or reliable method of transportation (REQUIRED) - Willing to travel out of Sarnia for locations such as Petrolia, Grand Bend, Wallaceburg & Chatham. You can expect to be scheduled in Petrolia and Grand Bend as needed. - Previous experience working as a security guard or previous experience within Long Term Care or working with the elderly is an asset - Full availability including nights, days, afternoons, weekends & statutory holidays, 8 to 12 hour shifts - Proactive, attention-to-detail, self-motivated, team players ** Please answer all screening questions to be considered** Apply today!
