John’s Restaurant is known for delivering exceptional dining experiences with warm hospitality and great food. We take pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere for every guest who walks through our doors. Position Overview: We are looking for a friendly, organized, and professional Host / Hostess tobe the first point of contact for our guests. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage a busy front-of-house environment. MUST BE AVAILABLE WEEKDAY MORNINGS GOING INTO SEPTEMBER 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly as they arrive and thank them as they leave
Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entrance area
Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or reservations
Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth seating flow
Handle guest concerns with professionalism and care
Serve tables and guests
Qualifications
Previous customer service or hospitality experience is an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Friendly, outgoing, and team-oriented personality
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
Greeting and seating customers
Assist in taking and preparing drink orders
Maintaining cleanliness within restaurant
Responsible to perform assigned cleaning duties upon shift completion
Skills
Postiive attitude, hardworking, able to stand for long periods
Smart serve certification mandatory
Good time management
