Construction Labourer (Sarnia)

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various construction projects, supporting skilled trades, and ensuring the smooth progress of building activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with hand tools, carpentry, or general construction is a plus but not mandatory. Duties - Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials - Use hand tools and power tools for tasks across various areas from rough framing to finished carpentry. - Support skilled tradespeople with tasks related to plumbing, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, and painting - Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to assist in project execution - Perform restoration work as needed to ensure project quality and safety standards are met - Help with the installation of flooring, tiles, and other finishing elements - Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment - Support team members in executing construction activities efficiently and effectively Skills - Proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools used in construction - Knowledge of construction processes including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and flooring installation - Ability to read blueprints and schematics for accurate project execution - Familiarity with caulking techniques and restoration procedures is advantageous - Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods - Valuable communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment - Willingness to learn new skills such as tile laying or working with schematics - Basic understanding of safety procedures on construction sites This position is ideal for individuals eager to build a career in the construction industry while gaining hands-on experience across multiple trades.
