Our culture supports growth and development. Base Salary: $52,500 + Profit Sharing. This is a full‑time, salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to earn profit sharing. Relocation within Canada may be required for training. Relocation assistance will be provided. The Role As a Management Trainee, you will progress through a 4‑phased program to learn every aspect of how our business operates – from shipping and receiving, counter sales, operations management to employee development and more. You will grow a sales territory, provide world‑class customer service, and be mentored by current managers across Canada to build a successful management career at EMCO. Program Outline Over the course of 3.5 to 4 years, you will move through four phases of the program. 1. Phase 1 – Warehouse and Customer Service (12 months) Build product knowledge and gain hands‑on experience with the logistical side of the business. Learn how our products move from the vendor to the customer, and get involved in customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory, pricing controls, credit management, financial statements, and more. 2. Phase 2 – Customer Relationships and Procurement (12 months) Transition from answering customer service issues to managing large‑scale projects and problem solving. Build relationships with customers and vendors, and learn to read blueprint drawings to create material quotes for projects. 3. Phase 3 – Account Management and Proactive Sales (15–18 months) Focus on business development: find new business opportunities, sell products, negotiate contracts, expand the customer base, and create level‑5 customer partnerships. 4. Phase 4 – Leadership and Operations (3 months) Lead a team, mentor others, run the business by developing leadership competencies, coaching, mentoring, and setting vision and strategy. Upon completion, you will be ready to become a manager at one of our Canadian Profit Center locations. Qualifications - University degree or college diploma – all disciplines of study will be considered. - Positive attitude and results‑oriented mindset. - Desire to continuously learn and grow. - Excellent leadership, customer service and organizational skills. - Strong work ethic and high standard of integrity. - Ability to work well independently and in a team setting. - Excellent communication skills and ability to build robust relationships with customers, vendors, and teammates. - Proficient in Microsoft Office software. - Strong interest in sales. - Valid driver’s licence. Additional Information Salary Range: $52,500.
