In this full-time Arborist role within the Community Services division, you will be responsible for maintaining healthy trees while upholding strict safety standards. Your work includes diagnosing tree diseases, managing pests, and improving urban green spaces. Ideal candidates should have experience in arboriculture and a commitment to teamwork and safety.

Key Responsibilities:• Maintain urban trees through pruning and health assessments • Treat pest issues to ensure tree vitality • Operate aerial devices and other equipment safely • Work collaboratively within a forestry team • Support sustainable community enhancement efforts

Requirements:• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent • Certification as an Arborist required or five years of experience • Chainsaw and wood chipper operation safety trained • Valid Class DZ driver’s licence • Commitment to ongoing safety training and development
