Delivery Material Handler/Roof Loader (90023), Sarnia

ABC Supply, North America’s largest distributor of exterior and interior building products, is seeking a motivated Delivery Material Handler / Roof Loader to join our team.The Delivery Material Handler works closely with the Delivery Service Manager and delivery team to ensure safe and timely delivery of roofing materialsto customers and job sites. The role involves both roof and ground-level deliveries, unloading materials from delivery trucks, and assisting with warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSafely unload building products, including shingles and multiple bundles, from conveyor booms on first or second-story rooftops.In situations where rooftop delivery is not feasible, assist the driver with ground drop operations at the job site.Verify order contents before loading them onto the delivery truck to ensure accuracy.Assist in staging and unloading materials at customer job sites, following safety guidelines for handling products.Ensure that the work zone is secure and safe during each delivery at job sites.Operate forkliftsand other material handling equipment safely and responsibly.Provide excellent customer service and ensure materials are delivered and staged according to customer needs.Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the delivery vehicle in collaboration with the driver.Assist with warehouse operations, including loading and unloading materials onto or off trucks or placing materials in the warehouse as required.Specific qualifications include:Must have no fear of working at heightsWorking at Heights Certificate is an assetAbility to lift 75-100 lbs consistently at heightsAbility to stand, bend,twist, and climb ladders throughout complete shiftAbility and willingness to work on rooftopsPositive attitude and team playerAdhering to all safety policies, including wearing safety harness and other required equipmentBenefits may include:Associates enjoy a comprehensive compensation package.RRSPwith generous company match - eligible on first day of hireDental, vision, medical care (Employer Paid - After 3 months)Extended health care availablePaid sick daysOvertime HoursWork-Life BalancePay Rate Information$20-23 per hour.
