As a Quality Control Lead, you will support the Quality Control function by overseeing the review and interpretation of QC reports, documents, investigation activities, and the resolution of any concerns.Working under general supervision, you will prepare decisions, reports, summaries, and recommendations, which will be reviewed by senior personnel. In this role, you will apply your developed skills to ensure effective quality control processes and maintain high standards in all QC activities. Responsibilities
Conduct regular quality audits and reviews of fabrication shop and field site activities, and represent the company during internal and external audits in accordance with client requirements and the Quality Management System (QMS). Supervise and support shop and field Quality Inspectors/Representatives to ensure all inspections and quality activities are executed in compliance with applicable codes, standards, legislation, client specifications, and QMS requirements.Develop and implement Quality Management Plans and coordinate planning of all quality-related activities (e.g., NDE, PWHT, pressure testing) across all phases of construction. Ensure subcontractors and suppliers meet all quality requirements, including required certifications, proper documentation, and complete submittals in line with project specifications.Oversee calibration of testing equipment and manage non-conformance and corrective action processes to ensure timely resolution of deviations from required standards. Minimum 5 years’ industry experience in Quality Control. Related diploma from Technical Education (WET or MET) or Journeyperson certification. Thorough knowledge of ASME and CSA code requirements. CSA W178.2 Level II or higher with job site applicable endorsements and valid eye exam, or API 510/570 Piping Inspector/Pressure Vessel Inspector.Ability to interpret, evaluate and apply regulations, policies and procedures to a wide variety of Quality activities. Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications. Excellent leadership, change management and team building skills. Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.Additional Information
This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
