Hands-On Construction Labourer Role, Sarnia

Join Habitat for Humanity as a construction labourer in Sarnia, ON. This full-time position focuses on performing various building activities and engaging with community members.

In this role, you'll report to the Manager of Handyman Services or the Director of Build Services. You will need experience in building structures, drywall repair, and basic plumbing tasks. Familiarity with the Ontario Building Code and Health&Safety regulations is essential for carrying out your duties in a safe and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:• Evaluate project requests from homeowners to determine feasibility • Procure necessary materials and supplies for projects • Prepare detailed cost estimates for project work • Coordinate and oversee volunteer efforts on-site • Maintain tools and equipment for handyman services

Requirements:• Experience with framing, deck building, and plumbing • Clean driver abstract and valid driving license • Basic First Aid&CPR certification is preferred• Physically able to manage construction materials • Competent in using email and productivity software
