Hughes Safety Showers, NA is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Associate in Sarnia, Ontario.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

Assemble appropriate materials.

Read and interpret drawings and work orders.

Clean parts and work area thoroughly.

Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills and excellent attendance.

Must be able to follow proper lifting techniques.

Must be able to use all hand tools required to perform the job, including but not limited to: hammers, drills, saws, screw guns, metal shears, utility knives, framing square, edging tool, etc.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required

Must have a great attitude and be willing to grow with the company.

Must always diligently follow safe practices for yourself and team members.

Must be able to work in a flexible team environment with job rotation as needed.

Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Willingness to cross train for other job functions such as testing, quality review, and packing/crating product.

Working Conditions

Ability to use ladders at least 10 feet off the ground.

Ability to bend, twist, squat, stand, and walk up to 8 hours per day.

Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, pull, push, and lift up to 50 lbs up to 7.5 hrs per day and when overtime is scheduled.

Wear all required PPE including steel-toed shoes and safety glasses.

Good physical condition and endurance.
