Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role in Sarnia, ON, for a Senior Steel Fitter. The Senior Steel Fitter The Senior Steel Fitter will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to layout, position, and assemble steel components. Daily tasks include operating equipment such as torches, grinders, and welders, ensuring that all work aligns with project specifications and safety standards. The role also involves collaborating with other team members, mentoring junior fitters, and maintaining a clean and safe work setting. Qualifications Expertise in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Proficiency in fitting and assembling structural steel and metal components Experience operating tools such as welders, grinders, and torches Robust understanding of safety practices and standards in industrial environments Ability to troubleshoot problems and provide practical solutions in the fabrication process Effective communication and leadership skills for mentoring and guiding team members Previous experience in field installation and maintenance support is an asset Relevant trade certification or equivalent experience Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2prg0j
