Description
Responsibilities - Preparing awesome meals for our customers. - Weighing, measuring, mixing, and prepping ingredients according to recipes. - Steaming, grilling, broiling, baking, or frying meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients. - Checking food and ingredients for freshness. - Arranging and garnishing dishes. - Working well under pressure and within the time limit. - Ensuring that the kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned. - Helping lead and inspire our kitchen staff with the restaurant manager. - Wowing our guests with amazing dishes. Experience - Experience in using different cooking tools, equipment, and utensils - Knowledge of various cooking methods and procedures - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Understanding of food preparation techniques - Able to withstand long hours of standing, bending, and moving around - Basic knowledge of mathematics to make correct measurements of ingredients - Ability to follow recipe instructions Job Type: Part time Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour Experience: - Cooking: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification: - Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (required) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pt1wh
