The Senior Engineer is responsible for leading and executing complex engineering projects, providing expert technical solutions, and ensuring project success from inception through to completion. This role involves managing project timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and solving engineering challenges to meet client objectives and industry standards. The Senior Engineer is also tasked with overseeing the work of junior engineers, mentoring staff, and fostering a collaborative environment to enhance team performance.In addition to technical leadership, the Senior Engineer contributes to business development efforts by supporting proposals, generating estimates, and maintaining strong client relationships. By staying up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices, the Senior Engineer ensures that projects are delivered efficiently, within scope and budget, while maintaining high-quality standards. Ultimately, this position plays a key role in driving successful project outcomes and promoting innovation within the company.Responsibilities

Technical Leadership:

Take ownership of assigned projects and provide technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate project requirements into actionable engineering plans. Design and Development:

Lead the design and development of solutions, ensuring alignment with project objectives, industry standards, and best practices. Implement efficient algorithms, data structures, and architectural designs to meet performance and scalability requirements. Problem-solving:

Analyze complex technical problems and propose innovative solutions leveraging your expertise in engineering principles and methodologies. Proactively identify potential challenges and mitigate risks to project success. Quality Assurance:

Design and execute comprehensive test plans to validate the functionality, reliability, and performance of engineering solutions. Implement automated testing frameworks and tools to streamline testing processes and ensure product quality. Continuous Improvement:

Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team, advocating for the adoption of new technologies, tools, and processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and innovation. Project Management:

Coordinate project activities, including task prioritization, resource allocation, and milestone tracking, to ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables within budget and scope constraints. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Saskatchewan, or actively working towards registration; eligibility for registration in Alberta is an asset Minimum 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, with demonstrated experience in a senior or leadership capacityRequired Skills

Strong technical proficiency in mechanical engineering across equipment design, piping systems, pressure vessels, and HVAC. Experience managing full project lifecycles from conceptual design through detailed engineering Proven ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional teamsProficiency in mechanical engineering design and analysis software Strong understanding of applicable codes and standards Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client-facing, team mentoring, and reporting purposes Preferred Skills

Experience in heavy industrial sectors such as potash, uranium, oil and gas, or chemical processing Familiarity with risk analysis, cost estimating, and project scheduling Exposure to computer task automation or engineering workflow optimization Pay range and compensation package

Engcomp offers a competitive compensation package reflective of your experience and expertise. Base Salary:

$122,000– $175,000 annually, commensurate with experience RRSP Matching:

Company-matched contributions up to 5% Bonus:
