Electrician, Saskatoon

Overview SSR Mining Inc. is a gold company operating in the USA, Turkey, Canada, and Argentina. The Seabee Gold Operation is located about 500 km northeast of Saskatoon, in the boreal forest. The company is committed to safety, sustainability, and inclusive employment.

Role Summary The Electrician reports to the Supervisor, Maintenance Operations and is responsible for operation and maintenance support across the site. The role manages jobsites, tradesmen and performs hands‑on electrical work.

Key Responsibilities

Program, troubleshoot and repair all electrical equipment.

Maintain high‑voltage systems.

Install new equipment and perform calibrations on process instruments.

Maintain all new and used equipment and perform preventative maintenance.

Repair mining equipment such as drills, fans, and pumps.

Read schematics and troubleshoot electrical circuits.

Perform conduit, wiring and general industrial installations.

Manage small to mid‑size projects and interface with other departments.

Operate and maintain equipment and auxiliaries safely.

Respond to emergency situations.

Report deviations to established procedures.

Document and keep accurate records of work performed.

Perform other duties assigned by the department.

Education&Experience

Journeyperson certificate in Electrical.

Two to three years of experience.

Experience in mining with underground exposure is an asset.

Mechanical and heavy‑industry experience is an asset.

Working Conditions This position follows a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off schedule at a remote camp. Travel involves fly‑in fly‑out with pickup points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and La Ronge.

Other Requirements Drug and alcohol substance testing is required. Recent recreational marijuana use may affect test results.
