Become a key player at the University of Saskatchewan as a Mechanical Engineering Laboratory Support Engineer. This position focuses on enhancing laboratory experiences for students through effective instruction and resource management.
In this role, you will report to the Department Head and assist in shaping the Controls and Fluid Power laboratory curriculum. You will provide essential technical support for both teaching and research activities, ensuring that the laboratories operate at the highest safety and efficiency standards. In addition, youll be involved in procuring and maintaining advanced laboratory tools and systems.
Key Responsibilities: • Instruct and supervise Controls and Fluid Power labs • Develop and enforce laboratory safety protocols • Collaborate on laboratory curriculum planning • Assist in research project design and execution • Manage budget allocations for lab resources
Requirements: • Bachelors degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical • Two years relevant engineering experience • Proven ability to adhere to safety protocols • Expertise with laboratory equipment and data acquisition • Qualified Engineer registration required
