The Intermediate Industrial Electrical Engineer will manage a portfolio of multidisciplinary projects and electrical studies in Western Canada’s rapidly growing market. The role requires independent work and a key player in developing business relationships within the local industrial sector, with occasional travel to industrial sites.Primary Responsibilities
Take part in all stages of projects Develop technical solutions Produce drawings and specifications Produce equipment specifications Coordinate among stakeholders Provide technical support for various clients Analyze proposals and issue recommendations for procurement Participate in site surveysQualifications
University diploma in Electrical Engineering Registered (or eligible to register as) member of Engineers and Geoscientists BC (E.B.C.) or a recognized Professional Engineering Association in Canada (P.Eng preferred) Minimum of 3+ years of experience in heavy industry In‑depth knowledge of issues related to industrial productionAvailable to work outside of the office on an occasional basis Nice to Have (Technical Knowledge)
2D drafting in AutoCAD Instrumentation and field wiring of control systems Calculations including cable pull, heat trace, voltage drop, and cable sizing Heat trace design Cable tray design Control panel design Power system modelling including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, and arc flashGrounding studies and grounding design Protection relay and VFD parameter settings Power distribution equipment sizing, specification, and procurement Benefits
