Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer (5+ years) to design and execute automated tests using SQL, UFT One, and AQM frameworks Join an established public sector organization supporting application quality across multiple digital platforms. This role focuses on automation scripting, system compatibility validation, and integration testing for web, mobile, and desktop environments. Candidates will contribute to maintaining secure and effective testing frameworks using advanced tools and AI-based capabilities in automation. This position offers involvement in impactful technology initiatives across critical citywide systems. Must Haves Minimum 5 years writing SQL queries and test automation scripts for web and desktop applications Minimum 5 years using UFT One and Application Quality Management (AQM) tools for automation Minimum 5 years testing mobile, web, and desktop applications for compatibility with Office , database , integration, and OS upgrades Minimum 5 years working with at least one programming language (C#, Java, Python, Java Script, VBScript) for automation frameworks Minimum 3 years supporting virtual environments (IPC, VDI) Minimum 3 years applying application security frameworks such as OWASP Top 10 or similar Minimum 1 year evaluating AI-based object identification in automation tools Post-secondary education in computer science, engineering, or related discipline Nice to Have Strong verbal and written communication skills at all organizational levels Ability to understand application usage and impact to end users Ability to support multiple concurrent projects and adapt to changing priorities Experience preparing and maintaining quality assurance and application risk documentation Previous public sector or multi-line-of-business organization experience Certification in Quality Assurance or Software Testing Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web, desktop, and mobile applications Validate compatibility of systems during integration and upgrade activities Apply application security frameworks and standards within automated testing processes Maintain and enhance automation frameworks and test environments Assess and apply AI-based object identification features to improve automation accuracy Collaborate with technical teams to support quality assurance initiatives across projects Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pk2o8
