Job Description The Intermediate Industrial Electrical Engineer will manage a portfolio of multidisciplinary projects and electrical studies in Western Canada’s rapidly growing market. The role requires independent work and a key player in developing business relationships within the local industrial sector, with occasional travel to industrial sites. Primary Responsibilities Take part in all stages of projects Develop technical solutions Produce drawings and specifications Produce equipment specifications Coordinate among stakeholders Provide technical support for various clients Analyze proposals and issue recommendations for procurement Participate in site surveys Qualifications University diploma in Electrical Engineering Registered (or eligible to register as) member of Engineers and Geoscientists BC (E.B.C.) or a recognized Professional Engineering Association in Canada (P.Eng preferred) Minimum of 3+ years of experience in heavy industry In‑depth knowledge of issues related to industrial production Available to work outside of the office on an occasional basis Nice to Have (Technical Knowledge) 2D drafting in AutoCAD Instrumentation and field wiring of control systems Calculations including cable pull, heat trace, voltage drop, and cable sizing Heat trace design Cable tray design Control panel design Power system modelling including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, and arc flash Grounding studies and grounding design Protection relay and VFD parameter settings Power distribution equipment sizing, specification, and procurement Benefits Comprehensive Group Benefits available from day one for all permanent employees working at least 20 hours per week Employee and Family Assistance Program Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) with up to 4% employer contribution Employee‑owned company, annual prospect to purchase shares for all employees Flexible work schedule in a hybrid work mode Work‑life balance policy across Canada 3‑5 weeks of vacation, based on years of relevant experience Tailored training to improve your existing skills EEO Statement In keeping with the principles of employment equity, we encourage all applications, including, but not limited to, those from women, Indigenous people, people with disabilities, and visible minorities.
