Join our vision of a low‑carbon world and help make positive change! We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Niagara office. This role is a unique opportunity for a technically strong individual who also thrives in project leadership and business development. Our projects are primarily in the energy sector, ranging from large EPCM initiatives to smaller operations support engagements. You will play a key role in driving project success, building client relationships, and growing our business. Technical Leadership Lead a team of Electrical Engineers, Designers, and CAD personnel to deliver high‑quality electrical engineering and design work on time and within budget. Provide technical oversight, mentorship, and quality assurance for all electrical deliverables. Check vendor drawings and data for compliance with specifications. Prepare detailed design, supply, construction and installation specifications. Visit project sites and other Hatch design offices for project related activities as required. Project Management Serve as the Project Manager or Engineering Lead on select projects, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and resource planning. Coordinate with multi‑discipline teams to ensure seamless project execution. Track project metrics and proactively manage risks and issues. Actively contribute to client relationship management, identifying new opportunities and maintaining ongoing engagement. Experience in the Hydropower Industry would be a great asset. Familiarization with designing, and maintaining electrical systems in hydroelectric power plants. Leading a team in the design of power systems, including diagrams, layouts and detailed drawings for switchgear, control panels and power distribution centers. Selecting and sizing electrical equipment, such as transformers, switchgear and control panels. Testing and Commissioning – develop commissioning procedures and perform/supervise commissioning testing. Familiarization with SCADA systems design and operation and other plant control systems. Experience in CIA (Connection Impact Assessments) and SIA(System Impact Assessments. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; Proven experience in project management and/or client‑facing roles. Knowledge of industry, regulatory codes and standards. Strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and electrical design tools (e.g., Advanced computer skills. In accordance with legislated pay transparency requirements, the expected salary range for this position is $86,000 – $135,000 based on current market data and aligned with internal pay structures to ensure consistency and fairness.
