The opportunity - Maintain accurate financial records and track costs related to designated entities. - Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments to support timely financial reporting. - Perform account reconciliations and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data. - Create reports, perform analysis, and provide insights to support decision-making and operational effectiveness. - Support budgeting processes, including preparation of supporting documentation and variance analysis. - Prepare annual audit files and assist with internal and external audits, including SOX-related processes. - Code invoices, statements, and other financial documentation in accordance with established procedures. - Collaborate with internal teams and external contacts to support accounting activities related to Ocean Transportation. - Contribute to the maintenance of internal controls and documentation to safeguard corporate assets. You’ll Bring - Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. - Minimum three to five years’ experience in an accounting role. - Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is considered an asset. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes. - Experience working with accounting systems and computer-based tools.
