Legal Assistant (Saskatoon)

Bridge City Law Office As our firm grows, we are seeking a full time Legal Assistant to join our team and assist in aiding our clients. Bridge City Law Office recently opened in the Stonebridge neighbourhood of Saskatoon with a practice focus on Real Estate, Estate Planning and Administration and Corporate work. The ideal candidate will have 3 -5 years experience in some or all of these areas of legal practice, with preference given to real estate experience. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication, attention to detail, strong word processing and computer skills, and the ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment. They will be expected to operate well in a team environment and be self-motivated and independent. Responsibilities - Prepare residential sale, purchase and refinance files from opening to closing - Perform all necessary searches with ISC, municipal taxes, etc - Prepare estate planning documents including Wills, Powers of Attorneys and Trust Agreements - Prepare estate administration documents and perform all searches. - Correspond with financial institutions as needed. - Coordinate with clients and assist with scheduling - Prepare billings and invoices - Answer phone calls and client inquiries in a polite and professional manner - Additional duties as required Compensation & Benefits - $25.00 per hour or more, depending on experience - Extended health, dental and vision coverage - Life insurance - Paid time off - Flexible work schedule - Free parking Start date is flexible.
