Dishwasher/Prep (Scarborough)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher/Prep to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen workplace while supporting food preparation activities. Ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality and a keen eye for cleanliness, ensuring our guests receive exceptional service in a welcoming atmosphere. Duties - Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and readiness for use - Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients under supervision - Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, prep stations, and storage areas throughout shifts - Support the kitchen team in food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health standards - Help with inventory management by notifying supervisors of supplies needed or low stock levels - Follow all safety and sanitation policies to uphold a hygienic work environment - Assist in setting up dining areas or service stations as needed during busy hours Skills - Experience in cleaning and maintaining kitchen or restaurant environments is preferred - Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation procedures - Basic understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques is advantageous - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail - Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff - Previous experience in hospitality, hotel service, or food service industries is a plus - Flexibility to adapt to various tasks within the kitchen environment and willingness to learn new skills This position offers an opportunity to develop foundational skills in the hospitality industry while contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
