Job Summary The Automotive Service Advisor plays a crucial role in the customer service experience at our dealership. This position involves interacting with customers to understand their automotive needs, providing recommendations for service and repairs, and ensuring a smooth workflow between the service department and customers. Responsibilities - Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival. - Assess customer needs by asking relevant questions regarding vehicle performance and issues. - Provide detailed explanations of services and repairs needed, including costs and timelines. - Upsell additional services based on customer needs and vehicle condition. - Schedule appointments for service work and follow up with customers regarding their vehicle status. - Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service orders, and payments. - Handle cash transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy in billing. - Collaborate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of services and repairs. - Address customer concerns or complaints in a professional manner. Skills - Proven sales experience, preferably in an automotive or dealership environment. - Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. - Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes is essential. - Experience in automotive repair is a plus, enabling effective communication with technicians. - Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining customer trust. - Proficient cash handling skills to manage transactions accurately. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly.
