Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and efficient Part time Waiter to join our Fish and Chips restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining atmosphere. Duties Greet guests warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met Handle cash transactions and perform cashiering duties with accuracy and attention to detail Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, utensils, and workstations in compliance with food safety regulations Assist in food preparation and kitchen support as needed Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service Provide guest services by answering questions about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Good time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures Ability to work well under pressure in a quick-paced setting Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Prior experience in hospitality or the food industry is advantageous but not mandatory This position is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality who want to gain experience in a lively restaurant setting while providing memorable guest experiences.
