Position - Production Coordinator - Custom Metal and Sign Fabrication Job Description Everest Signs is a full-service custom sign manufacturing company specializing in indoor, outdoor, illuminated, and non-illuminated signage solutions. We design, manufacture, and install a wide variety of custom signage projects across the GTA and beyond. We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Coordinator to join our team. This role involves production drawings, bill of material, coordinating materials, purchasing, subcontract work, and production information to support the smooth execution of custom signage projects. Key Responsibilities - Receive the workorder and shop drawings from project coordination team - Analyze and understand the entire project - Prepare production drawings, if required - Prepare Bill of material for each item - Check inventory - Prepare purchase requisitions - Source items required from suppliers - Identify subcontract work involved - Prepare RFQ and drawings for subcontract work - Float RFQ to get quotes - Finalize subcontractor with the rest of the team - Prepare production related information/drawings files for inhouse production team and sub-contractors - Get the subcontract work done and receive the product - Receive all supplied products - Handover the project to the production team - Quality check of the product at various stages against client's requirements and production files - Prepare material for installation team - Handover the final product and installation material to installation team along with instructions Qualifications & Skills - Previous experience in sign manufacturing, custom fabrication, construction coordination, manufacturing, or a related industry is preferred - Engineering degree - Ability to read and understand shop drawings and production drawings - Strong organizational and multitasking skills - Good understanding of common signage materials and fabrication processes is an asset - Experience with purchasing, vendor coordination, or subcontractor coordination is preferred - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel - Experience with Adobe Illustrator or AutoCAD is an asset - Strong communication and follow-up skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment - Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities - Valid Ontario Driver's License and own car is an asset What We Offer · Stable full-time position · Chance to work on a wide variety of custom signage projects · Collaborative and supportive team environment · Long-term growth opportunities within the company · Competitive compensation based on experience Job Details - Industry: Sign Manufacturing & Installation - Employment Type: Full-time - Job Function: Production Supervision - Location: Scarborough, ON - Salary: $39,000 to $46,000 per year - Schedule: Monday to Friday (occasional evenings/weekends as required by project deadlines) - Work Permit: Valid work permit for a minimum of two years required Schedule - Monday to Friday - Day shift - In-person position based in Scarborough, ON Experience Preferred - Production Coordination: 2–3 years - Technical Purchasing / Procurement: 2–3 years - Sign manufacturing or custom fabrication industry experience is an asset Please note that any offer of employment will be conditional upon background and reference checks, including a criminal record check, credit check, and employment and educational verifications.
