Renovation Carpenter/Handyman (Scarborough)

Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Renovator to join our construction and restoration team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various aspects of renovation, including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and finishing. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects ranging from residential to commercial renovations, utilizing a wide array of construction skills and tools. Candidates should be committed to quality craftsmanship and safety standards, with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints for accurate project execution. Responsibilities - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure precise execution of renovation projects - Demolition of existing framing, tiles, drywall etc, as needed, as per site conditions. - Install cabinets, siding, roofing, and other structural components using hand tools and power tools - Conduct restoration tasks including drywall repair, caulking, painting, and finishing touches - Installation of doors, frames, trims ( baseboards, door casings, slat walls, decorative panels ) - Estimate project materials and labor needs accurately for planning purposes - Maintain a clean and safe work setting by adhering to safety protocols at all times - Perform small concrete forming works , concrete pour, tile laying, and flooring installation with attention to detail Qualifications - Proven experience in construction, carpentry, woodworking, or maintenance person services with a broad skill set in renovation tasks - Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings effectively - Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, masonry equipment, roofing tools, and other construction machinery - Knowledge of flooring installation, tile laying, and drywall finishing - Electrical experience or plumbing skills are highly desirable but not mandatory - Strong understanding of construction estimating processes for materials and labor costs - Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as required - Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality workmanship - Valid experience in restoration projects is preferred but not essential Join our team as a Renovator to contribute your expertise on diverse projects that challenge your skills while delivering high-quality results.
