Loader Operator (Scarborough)

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Loader Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently loading aggregates and soil. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation to support our processes and maintain smooth workflow. Responsibilities - Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport materials such as gravel, sand, asphalt, and debris. - Machine Operation: Safely operate front-end loaders, often using different attachments (buckets, scoops). - Maintenance: Perform daily inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance checks to ensure machinery is in safe working order. - Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines, site policies, and health regulations. - Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance - Assist with construction or warehouse setup tasks as needed - Maintain a clean and organized work setting to promote safety and efficiency - Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals Skills - Proven experience in front end loader operation and heavy equipment. - Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance - Physical ability for heavy lifting, load & unload tasks, and extended periods of standing or walking - Experience in construction or industrial environments is a plus - Excellent attention to detail for inventory accuracy and safety compliance Job Type: Full-time Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour Benefits: - Dental care - Extended health care - On-site parking - Paid time off Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2psvoy
