We manufacture a broad range of live performance audio equipment used in concerts and on stages around the world. The Financial Controller leads a team of analysts that is responsible for contributing to the strategic growth of a globally recognized premium brand. The team''s goal is to ensure the completion of all accounting functions according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Accounting Standards. Responsibilities: Supervise Accountant, A/R, A/P, Payroll Oversee the companys financial reporting strategy for internal and external reporting requirements for 3 legal entities. Devise processes to ensure financial data is complete and appropriately captured and reconciled in the Companys ERP system. Provide recommendations for procedural improvements. Work with ERP team to enhance systems Create robust monthly, quarterly and annual statements, close financial processes and checklists. Manage customer account balances and account statements including: receivables, credit memos, and deposits. Responsible for all daily financial transactions, including but not limited to: Inventory, AP, AR, Bank Reconciliations, Billing, Payroll, HST, full cycle bookkeeping to the standards of Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE). Preparation of necessary audit documentation. Liaison with Auditors. Dealing with other CRA matters as they arise Establishes or recommends to management major economic strategies, objectives and policies for the company. Acts to link/align the major business functions to profitability, growth and cash flow. Ensure compliance with record retention requirements. Qualifications & Experience: Holder of CPA designation in good standing. Previous experience with ERP systems integration is preferred. Experience with Odoo ERP is a plus. Previous experiences in public accounting is preferred. Ability to work in a self directed manner and lead a team.
