We offer benefits, competitive pay, a fun work environment and the opportunity to interact with new technology. We are currently hiring a Production Manager - Electronics. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production flow by managing the company’s Electronics Production and Assembly department, developing and maintaining production schedules, and coordinating shop floor activities. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, material requirements, and real-time problem-solving to meet delivery targets and optimize resource utilization. Key Responsibilities 1. Production Management - Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly final assembly production schedules aligned with customer orders and delivery commitments. - Balance production workloads based on capacity, lead times, and priority orders. - Manage resources in order to meet production demands. 2. ERP System Management - Maintain, update, and optimize ERP system data for production, inventory, and materials management. - Ensure accuracy of bills of materials (BOMs), routings, work orders, and inventory records. - Generate production, inventory, and performance reports from the ERP system for management review. - Train staff on ERP system usage and support troubleshooting issues. 3. Shop Floor Planning & Coordination - Translate production schedules into actionable shop floor plans, ensuring smooth material flow and resource allocation. - Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and coordinate with Lead Hands to resolve bottlenecks. - Communicate scheduling changes, priorities, and targets clearly to shop floor teams. - Collaborate with quality and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and defects. 4. Inventory & Supply Chain Management - Track current inventory levels through ERP and cycle counts. - Project inventory demands based on sales demand. - Collaborate with purchasing to ensure inventory remains at minimum quantities. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with Human Resources to ensure staffing needs are met. - Liaise with engineering for product changes and process improvements. - Partner with logistics/shipping to align production completion with delivery schedules. Skills & Qualifications Education & Experience - Diploma/Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in Production Management, ERP administration, Electronics Production is a must. - Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., M1, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, NetSuite, or similar). Technical Skills - Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, and final assembly processes, capacity planning, and material flow. - Proficiency in Excel and ERP reporting tools. - Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles is an asset. Soft Skills - Excellent organizational and time management abilities. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Effective communicator who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. - Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
