Adamson Systems Engineering manufactures products for the global market, based in Port Perry. Our distribution network extends to all parts of the globe. We source raw materials both domestically and internationally, and we employ both a local and remote workforce that represent the brand.
The team driving the day-to-day operations of Adamson must be well-versed in the mechanics of running a global business. Come join the Adamson team and help us make an impact.
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with an accounting background and strong data skills to support our finance and operations team. The ideal candidate will combine solid accounting knowledge with practical experience in Power BI, SQL, account reconciliations, and inventory counts.
Key Responsibilities
Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve variances in a timely manner
Assist in preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
Support inventory management, including organizing and conducting physical inventory counts
Reconcile inventory records to general ledger and investigate discrepancies
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in
Power BI
for finance and operations
Support month-end and year-end close activities
Collaborate with operational and field teams to ensure accurate financial and inventory reporting
Identify process improvement opportunities using data analytics
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in
Accounting ,
Finance , or a related field
1–4 years of experience in accounting or finance (entry to intermediate level)
Solid understanding of
general ledger ,
account reconciliations , and
financial reporting
Practical experience with
Power BI
(building reports/dashboards)
Working knowledge of
SQL
(writing queries, pulling data from databases)
Experience with
inventory accounting
and/or
physical inventory counts
Strong proficiency in
Excel
(pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Good communication skills and ability to work with both finance and operations teams
Asset
Familiarity with the M1 ERP system
Experience in manufacturing
