Cardiology Technologist (Port Perry)

Some of our Large and Mid size Medical clients in Port Perry, Newmarket, Orangeville, Sarnia, Mississauga, Milton, Brampton, Whitby, Oshawa, Simcoe, Sudbury, Toronto, Mississauga, North York, Sault St.Marie, London, Calgary, Edmonton etc. are looking for some Cardiology Technologist, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography Technologists, Echo Technologists and X Ray Technologists for their busy offices. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - Successful completion of accredited Cardiology Technologist/ultrasound program - Eligible to be registered with Sonography Canada - formerly Canadian Association for Registered Cardiology Technologist/Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals (CARDUP)/Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (CSDMS) or registered with American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) - Current BCLS certificate - Experience as an Cardiology Technologist/ ultrasound technologist in a health care facility with experience in a variety of ultrasound imaging modalities and techniques SKILLS & ABILITIES - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Must be able to work with patients independently and identify urgent medical indicators within the scope of practice and have the ability to alert the physician of urgent patient conditions that could affect treatment or further testing. - Computer skills, knowledge of EPIC, Microsoft Office, PACs. Knowledge of appropriate ultrasound platforms and reporting software. - Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment using excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize duties - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with patients, staff and physicians - Demonstrates an understanding of ethical behaviour and confidentiality requirement in a health care institution. - Ability to represent the Hospital with professionalism and compassion for patients and families - As a single incumbent position must be able to maintain good attendance and punctuality. This position also requires availability for on-call shifts. - possesses and continually acquires knowledge relevant to the professional service s/he provides through critical thinking.
