We are looking for a qualified Highway Maintenance Labourer to join our team based out of Labrador City, NL. Job Summary Grey Rock Services is currently seeking a Highway Maintenance Labourer / Traffic Control Person (TCP) to join our Labrador operations team for the upcoming construction season. Position Overview This role combines general highway maintenance labour with traffic control responsibilities. Successful candidates will assist with summer highway maintenance activities while ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic through active work zones. Typical duties include roadside cleanup and directing traffic using Stop/Slow paddles in accordance with established safety procedures. This position is ideal for individuals who are safety-conscious, attentive, reliable, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Schedule Typically Monday to Friday 10–12 hour shifts Weekend work may be required depending on operational needs Seasonal position ending approximately September/October Key Responsibilities Perform general labour duties related to summer highway maintenance Safely direct public traffic through temporary work zones Maintain clear communication with other Traffic Control Persons on site Ensure public traffic is given priority over work-related traffic Monitor and report unsafe traffic conditions or behaviours Assist pedestrians safely through work areas when required Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations Use tools and equipment safely and responsibly Support a safe and productive work environment for all employees Represent Grey Rock Services professionally at all times Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements Valid Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification is considered an asset; training can be provided Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Reliable, punctual, and dependable Willingness to learn construction site procedures, safety standards, and company policies Ability to work effectively within a team environment Strong communication skills with supervisors and co-workers Commitment to safe and professional work practices Ability to safely operate required tools and equipment Must have reliable transportation to the Grey Rock Services yard in Labrador West We are an equal opportunity employer that encourages all interested candidates to submit a detailed resume. #J-18808-Ljbffr Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pvea6
