Machine Operator (Saint Boniface)

Position: Machine Operator Reports to: Company: Monarch Industries is a privately owned company that was founded in 1935. Monarch is a vertically integrated manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders and custom iron castings. These products are marketed throughout North America into the retail, agricultural, industrial, and original equipment manufacturer markets. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: · Set up and operate various automatic machining centers efficiently and safely · Maintain required productivity levels (efficiency & utilization) · Produce required quality of work · Contribute to continuous improvement daily · Ability to work as a part of a 24-hour operation that rotates shifts on a 4-week schedule · Adhere to all Safety and Health standards Education and Experience Required: · High school diploma · Experience operating precision automated machinery within a production environment, preferably milling and lathe machines · Understand and interpret blueprints and production documents an asset · Ability to set up and run lathes and drills an asset · Must pass Measurement Pre-Employment Test (Tape, Caliper, Micrometer, Gauge) · Must pass Essential Skills Pre-Employment Test Skills and Attributes Required: · High degree of attention to detail and proven organizational skills · Demonstrated English verbal and written communication skills · Ability to work as part of a team and independently as required · Ability to work independently without direct supervision · Understand, remember, and carry out detailed instructions · Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods · Perform activities within a schedule · Work involves pressure to meet deadlines · Juggle tasks and prioritize work · Make simple decisions or solve straightforward problems · Work in a team or with others Send resume to Job Type: Full time Pay: From $24.24 per hour Benefits: - Company events - Company pension - Dental care - Employee assistance program - Life insurance - In office parking - RRSP match - Tuition reimbursement - Vision care Application question(s): - Are you available to work days, evenings and midnights on a rotating schedule?
