A Key Role in a Great Team The selected candidate will contribute to the company’s success by taking on the following responsibilities: - Promote and apply occupational health and safety practices, and ensure the maintenance of a respectful work environment aligned with our values and management philosophy. - Act as a manager, coach, leader, change agent, and credible partner for your team members, in collaboration with the operations management team. - Encourage teamwork and inspire employees to innovate through their new ideas. - Ensure compliance with our high quality standards and production lead times, and support our commitment to operational excellence. - Achieve productivity targets and meet the production plan for your department. - Conduct regular floor walks to monitor the overall performance of your area. - Manage priorities in collaboration with support teams (Customer Service, Planning, Product Engineering, Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, etc.). - Follow up on back orders and ensure exemplary customer service. - Lead daily production follow-up meetings with a strong customer-focused mindset. - Manage human resources and daily task assignments within your department. - Conduct audits in your department. - Manage the Work In Progress (WIP) in your department with a global/holistic vision. - Participate in continuous improvement projects for your department. - Perform any other tasks aimed at adding value to our operations. To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who is driven by values of respect, teamwork, commitment, and pride, and who possesses the following qualifications: - You have at least 3 years of experience managing employees in a manufacturing environment; - You are familiar with Office 365 and know how to use it effectively; - You hold a college or university degree in management or another relevant field; - You are rigorous in your expectations and follow-ups; - You are a team builder and know how to mobilize and engage your team; - You act as a change agent; - You are able to manage conflicts constructively; - You have strong verbal and written English skills (an asset); - You have strong priority management skills; - You have the ability to build and maintain constructive professional relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
