Job Summary and Main Responsibilities The Machinist is responsible for manufacturing custom and production parts. They must interpret drawings and ensure that the parts meet customer requirements. They will be required to work on CNC lathes and machining centers.
Use metrology tools (vernier caliper, micrometer, etc.);
Inspect measurements according to the part;
Perform deburring on parts;
Make adjustments to the machine;
Operate the machine (production line) with minimal supervision;
Read and interpret plans and specifications with supervision;
Perform conversational programming and setup with supervision;
Perform all other related tasks.
Know-How Required
Possess strong interpersonal skills (integrity, support, teamwork, and customer focus);
Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, rigor, and a good work method, while maintaining a good pace of execution and attention to the quality of work;
Demonstrate versatility and the potential for growth;
Demonstrate good safety practices in the performance of his duties .
Skills We Are Looking For
Vocational diplomage in machining techniques;
0-2 years of experience in similar roles;
Knowledge of imperial and metric measurements;
Good physical condition.
What We Offer
Work schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime hours, 40 hours/week;
Salary: Hourly rate to be discussed based on experience;
Two (2) weeks of vacation;
Paid leave during the holiday closure (7 days);
Pension plan;
Work clothes.
