Strathcona Excavating Inc. is a professional contractor that specializes in the repair and installation of water and wastewater infrastructure. We are hiring for the following positions: Pipelayer - Minimum of 2 years experience - Check grades for conformance using levels/lasers. - Cut pipes to required lengths. - Connect pipe pieces and seal joints. - Install or repair water, storm water and/or sewer assemblies. - Additional skills that would be an asset: Lay out pipe routes, follow written instructions or blueprints and coordinate layouts with foremen/women. Topman - Minimum 2 years experience - Ability to assist foreman and mentor lower ranking crew members - Ability to read and understand drawings - Must understand rigging requirements and excavator right of way Labourer - Experience in the construction industry preferred - Must be physically fit Required Experience for all positions - Preference given to those with residential water and sewer experience. - Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation. - Must be physically fit. - Safety certifications pertaining to position, or the ability to obtain such.
