Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide expert psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to diverse patient populations. This role involves collaborating with medical professionals to support patient mental health and well-being in a clinical setting. Responsibilities Conduct psychological assessments and general evaluations across age groups, with a focus on DSM-5 diagnoses including trauma and generalized anxiety. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s emotional and psychological needs. Provide psychotherapy and counseling services that foster resilience and mental well-being. Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care strategies. Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Participate in team meetings to discuss cases and refine treatment approaches. Requirements Registered and in positive standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists. Passion for learning and openness to constructive feedback. Strong knowledge of DSM-5, particularly trauma and anxiety-related diagnoses. Excellent client care skills with a gentle, compassionate approach toward diverse populations. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to ongoing career development and staying current with best practices. Assets Experience working with children, including those in special education settings. Multilingual abilities, with preference for candidates able speak Punjabi or Hindi to serve the South Asian community. Familiarity with culturally responsive care and inclusive communication.
