Physiotherapy Assistant (Southeast Edmonton)

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will work closely with physiotherapists to provide support and assistance in delivering high-quality patient care. Responsibilities: - Assist physiotherapists in providing patient care and treatment plans - Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions - Help patients with exercises and therapeutic activities - Monitor and record patient progress during therapy sessions - Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities - Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas - Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care - Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures Skills: - Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to physiotherapy - Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Please note that all positions at our facility are paid, including internship positions.
