Server (Stony Plain)

Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong multitasking abilities, and a passion for the food industry. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided to ensure success in this role. Duties - Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm - Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS - Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high service standards - Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities - Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities - Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met during food handling and serving - Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth operations - Manage time efficiently to serve multiple tables simultaneously during busy periods - Maintain cleanliness of dining area, tables, and service stations in compliance with sanitation guidelines - Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction Skills - Proficiency with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for order entry and cashiering - Robust customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously - Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures - Experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable - Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation and cash handling - Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and sales - Familiarity with food industry standards, including serving, food preparation, and hospitality principles - Strong communication skills for effective guest interactions and teamwork This position offers an engaging work environment where your hospitality skills can shine.
