Description
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Internal Auditor to join their Internal Audit Services team. Reporting to the Director of Internal Audit Services, this role works cross-functionally with Operations, Risk & Assurance, and Finance to strengthen internal partnerships and enhance the organization’s overall control environment. Key Responsibilities - Support the delivery of financial control reporting requirements, including CSAE 3416 reporting - Contribute to the design, implementation, and ongoing development of an ICOFR (Internal Controls over Financial Reporting) program - Partner with business stakeholders to document, assess, and strengthen financial controls, including process narratives, risk/control matrices, and flowcharts - Collaborate with process owners to design and implement controls, ensuring both design adequacy and operating effectiveness - Plan and execute control testing activities, identify deficiencies, and oversee remediation efforts - Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization of controls across the organization through effective use of systems and technology - Lead and participate in operational, financial, compliance, and governance audits and advisory engagements - Provide input into the annual risk-based audit plan and project-level audit scoping - Develop clear, actionable audit findings and recommendations, supported by strong analysis and professional judgment - Communicate audit results through written reports and presentations to senior leadership and the Audit & Conduct Review Committee - Act as a key liaison with external auditors and regulators, particularly in relation to CSAE 3416 - Support the development of internal policies in collaboration with business stakeholders - Mentor and coach junior audit team members, contributing to team capability and development - Qualifications & Experience - CPA designation with 2+ years of post-designation experience - Public accounting background, with Big 4 experience preferred - Proven ability to design, evaluate, and improve processes and reporting frameworks - Strong understanding of audit, accounting, and internal control principles - Working knowledge of IIA Standards and Code of Ethics Key Competencies - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts for diverse stakeholders - Strong business partnership mindset, with experience engaging both financial and non-financial leaders, including executives - Advanced analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills - Effective project management and organizational capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines - Proactive, self-driven approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability - Ability to influence decision-making and drive improvements across the organization If this sounds like you, please apply today!
