Truck Driver - Class 1 (Duffield)

Overview We are seeking a dependable and experienced Class 1 Truck Driver with experience in the aggregate industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting materials to various destinations while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. This role offers an opportunity to work and contribute to the efficient delivery of goods across multiple locations. A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and experience in gravel transportation are essential for success in this position. local haul with in Parkland County. Responsibilities - Safely operate commercial trucks to transport gravel and materials over short distances - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations - Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs - Communicate effectively with dispatchers, staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit - Perform basic vehicle maintenance and repairs as needed, including automotive repair skills - Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations - Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when required, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed. - Qualifications - Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record - Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields - Ability to operate tractor trailer units with a belly dump trailer and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently - Knowledge of automotive repair basics is preferred but not required - Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and gravel transport - Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, loading/unloading. - Excellent communication skills and attention to detail - Prior experience with in the gravel industry for 3 years.
