Dozer Operator – Infrastructure (Water & Sewer) (Spruce Grove)

Thompson Construction Group has immediate openings for Water and Sewer Dozer Operators supporting our Infrastructure division’s land development and subdivision projects in the Edmonton area. Responsibilities: - Ensure a solid understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance. - Operate Dozer as it applies to ditching, sloping, support clean up in excavators and embankments, ripping, backfill etc. along with the ability to read grade stakes - Conduct pre and post operation equipment inspections and fill out daily checklist. - Participate in daily safety meetings and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. - Report all incidents, near misses, and equipment damage to site supervision. - Maintain effective communication with supervisors and crew members. - Work collaboratively as part of a construction crew to meet project timelines. Qualifications: - Minimum 3 years dozer experience in water/sewer installations, subdivision servicing, road construction and urban renewal projects. - Reliable transportation to and from site - Ability to work extended hours, including up to 12 hours per day, Monday to Saturday - CSTS/OSSA, BSO or CSO Certification, Ground Disturbance, H2S Alive, First Aid and Safe Trenching are considered an asset. - Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is considered an asset - Ability to perform physically demanding work in an outdoor construction environment Additional Information: The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to these positions.
