Assistant Controller (Alberta Beach)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our team. In this key role, you will support financial operations across multiple divisions, partnering closely with the Controller to deliver accurate reporting, actionable insights, and strong financial controls. Responsibilities - Support effective business decision-making by providing accurate financial reporting, margin analysis, cost insights, and other key analytics - Interpret and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders in a transparent and meaningful way - Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of client invoicing and collections - Assist in the preparation and maintenance of annual budgets, as well as quarterly and weekly forecasts - Audit preparation - Partner with the Controller on projects, process improvements, and standardization initiatives - Help maintain compliance with corporate policies and local operating procedures; contribute to strengthening internal controls - Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and increased efficiency across accounting operations - Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and finance teams to support business objectives Requirements - CPA designation (or legacy CA, CMA, CGA) - 3+ years of progressive accounting experience - Strong business acumen with a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and engage in the details - Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence, with emerging leadership capabilities - Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams - Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems; experience with system implementations or integrations is an asset Why This Role - High-impact role with exposure to multiple business units - Opportunity to grow into a Controller position - Collaborative environment with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence If this sounds like you, please apply today!
