Stirfry Cook- Full Time (Spruce Grove)

Overview NO LMIAS's applicants. Permanent Residence or Valid Work Permit Only We are seeking a dedicated Stirfry Cook or trainee to join our culinary team on a full-time basis. Pay and gratuities Evaluated based on experience and hours worked. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking delicious stirfry dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal applicant MUST HAVE previous cooking experience in a commercial kitchen, a solid understanding of food safety standards, and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities - Learn to use a cast iron wok and season appropriately - Prepare ingredients for stirfry dishes, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and organizing cooking stations - Cook stirfry dishes to meet quality standards and presentation requirements - Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area throughout shifts - Maintain a safe environment for everyone working - Assist with meal preparation during busy periods to ensure timely service - Follow recipes accurately and adapt as needed to accommodate customer preferences or dietary restrictions - Monitor stock levels and notify management of ingredient shortages or equipment issues Skills - Minimum 2 years experience as a line cook - Wok Experience in a commercial kitchen is an asset - Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices - Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail - Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team This position offers an engaging work environment where culinary skills can be honed and developed further.
