About the Company Authenac Express Ltd. is a small, family-owned trucking company with 5 operating semi-trucks (Kenworth, Freightliner, and Peterbilt). We specialize in oilfield hauling using flat deck trailers throughout Western Canada, with the majority of our work in Northern BC. Position Overview We are looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to haul flat deck trailers for oilfield work. This role involves pulling flat deck trailers, winching operations, and staying mostly within Western Canada (primarily Northern BC). Key Responsibilities - Safely operate semi-trucks pulling flat deck trailers for oilfield hauling - Perform winch operations as required - Load and secure freight on flat deck trailers - Communicate with the Dispatcher regarding work plans, pick-up and drop-off locations - Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on the truck using provided tools - Communicate effectively with mechanics regarding any issues or repairs - Follow work orders and company procedures - Maintain a high standard of safety and professionalism Requirements - Valid Class 1 License with a clean driving abstract - Experience pulling flat deck trailers and winch operations (oilfield experience is a strong asset) - Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform minor truck repairs - Ability to put on tire chains - Comfortable driving standard transmission - Strong communication skills - Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work long hours (70+ per week) - Must be able to pass a driving test What We Offer - Competitive hourly rate with potential for increases based on skill and performance - Consistent work in Western Canada - Prospect to work with a small, family-owned company - Kenworth, Freightliner, and Peterbilt trucks If you’re a motivated Class 1 driver with flat deck experience looking for steady work with a small company that values its drivers, we’d love to hear from you!
